David Manners, since it's Halloween

 

He was one of the good guys in classic horror movies...

He led an interesting life, once married and divorced, and then lived for 30 years with his gay partner, playwright Frederic William Mercer.  Mercer died in 1978, and Manners died 20 later at 98 years old.

I didn't know about this guy until today when I looked up his name.  (See links listed below)  Damn--they grow 'em big & strong in Sweden, huh?

From Sweden, he competed as World's Strongest Man; 6'7" tall and weighs in at 364-375 lbs!  Amazing as that is, it's his face & gingy beard that wins me over.  (Imagine the bush...)
